Since starting in 1979, Scottsdale Emergency Associates has maintained a strong focus on emergency department leadership. We believe in collaborating with hospital’s administration and medical staff to achieve mutual goals. As such, our physicians have held numerous medical staff leadership positions at Scottsdale Healthcare, including Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine and several presidents of the medical staff.

Also, the majority of SEA physicians have participated in leadership training with Initiative One, a program that includes an intensive 11-week leadership course for helping build a culture of trust, safety and collaboration. This has allowed us to create a positive work environment, while also growing our leaders from within the organization.

Extensive leadership development is one factor that has led to several of our physicians being named among Phoenix Magazine’s top doctors.
